Scholarships & Internships

Supporting Future Generations

AgGeorgia sponsors partial scholarships for students pursuing agriculture-related courses of study at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College, Fort Valley State University, and the University of Georgia. These sought-after cash awards are distributed through the colleges to qualified candidates.

Farm Credit has had over a 20 year relationship with some of these colleges to assist students in their endeavors to obtain a college degree. Students attending these colleges and majoring in an agricultural field can apply through the college for the scholarships. Internships

Committed, intelligent, and enthusiastic: that's what AgGeorgia Farm Credit is looking for in a summer intern.

Our paid ten-week summer internship program, which runs from mid-May to mid-July of each year, offers an unparalleled amount of hands-on experience in areas as varied as branch lending, executive management, general operations, and property appraisal. Student interns will be assigned mentors and will have the opportunity to provide support with critical business operations, including accounting, credit analysis, loan documentation, legal review, marketing, and more.

If you're a college junior or senior interested in agricultural lending, send a resume to Mary Ellen Levie, Human Resource Administrator, at melevie@aggeorgia.com by Friday, December 6, 2019.  For questions call 478-987-8300 Extension 671.

“The most significant lesson I learned was how to work with customers. In all of the locations I spent time, each Relationship Manager went above and beyond to make the loans work for customers and put them first.”
