Farmers Market Grant - Recipients Announced

July 16, 2025

AgGeorgia Farm Credit is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 AgGeorgia Farmers Market grant program. Grants in the amount of $2,000 each were distributed to five local markets throughout the cooperative’s territory for use in advertising and promotional objectives. This is the fifth year of the program, with the cooperative so far awarding $44,500 to help support rural Georgia markets and their vendors.

“Georgia is blessed with an abundance of excellent Farmers Markets, but they don’t always have the funding they need to advertise or increase visibility,” said Corey Cottle, AgGeorgia’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We are excited to support these recipients with funds to boost awareness and increase traffic, thereby helping local farmers and reinvesting dollars in our communities.”

The 2025 AgGeorgia Farmers Market Grant recipients are:

  • Habersham Co. Locally Grown Farmers Market (Clarkesville)
  • Irwin County Farmers Market (Ocilla)
  • Marigold Farmers Market (Winterville)
  • Rabbit Valley Farmers Market (Ringgold)
  • Veggie Park (Augusta)

AgGeorgia plans to continue the program in 2026 and encourages interested markets in the association’s seventy-nine county service area, particularly those who have applied and have not yet been selected, to apply next year.
