Leadership Changes

September 11, 2026

AgGeorgia Farm Credit is pleased to announce several leadership changes designed to align responsibilities, strengthen organizational focus, and support the cooperative's continued growth.

As part of this strategic leadership alignment:

  • Brandie Thompson has assumed the role of Chief Administrative Officer after previously serving as Chief Financial Officer.
  • Jay Murkerson has transitioned from Chief Risk Officer to Chief Financial Officer.
  • Steve Connelly has moved into the newly created role of Director of Strategic Initiatives.
  • Melissa Redd has been promoted to the newly created position of Director of Process Improvement.

The new leadership structure enhances AgGeorgia's ability to execute strategic initiatives, improve organizational processes, and continue delivering exceptional service to member-borrowers throughout Georgia. The Director of Strategic Initiatives and Director of Process Improvement positions were created to provide additional focus on key projects, continuous improvement efforts, and long-term organizational priorities.

"These leadership changes position AgGeorgia for the future while building upon the expertise and commitment of an exceptional leadership team," said Rob Crain, CEO. "As we continue to grow, these leaders will help ensure we remain focused on innovation, operational excellence, and delivering outstanding service to our members."

The leadership alignment reflects AgGeorgia's ongoing efforts to strengthen the organization, support future growth, and ensure the Association remains well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of agriculture and rural communities across Georgia.
