AgGeorgia Farm Credit is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Community Mission Fund (CMF) grants, awarding a total of $50,000 in funding to 10 organizations that are strengthening agriculture, improving food access, supporting rural communities, and creating educational opportunities across Georgia.
Established in 2023, AgGeorgia's Community Mission Fund provides financial support to nonprofit organizations, schools, community groups, and agricultural initiatives that align with the cooperative's mission of supporting rural communities and agriculture. The program invests in projects that create lasting, positive impacts throughout AgGeorgia's 79-county service area and beyond.
The 2026 Community Mission Fund recipients are:
- Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) (Statewide) – Supporting the Harvest & Grow workshop in Moultrie, which will provide small farmers, veterans, and agriculture-based businesses with training on financial readiness, technology adoption, access to capital, and business growth resources.
- AgriUnity (Statewide) – Expanding hands-on farm workshops and market access initiatives that help small family-owned farms strengthen profitability, improve production practices, and connect with new buyers across rural Georgia.
- Concrete Jungle (Statewide) – Recovering surplus and imperfect produce from Georgia farms and distributing it to food assistance organizations serving families experiencing food insecurity throughout South Georgia and beyond.
- Farmer Veteran Coalition of Georgia (Statewide) – Launching a series of educational workshops designed to help veteran and beginning farmers develop sustainable agricultural operations through training, mentorship, and resource connections.
- Rural GA Reach (Multiple Counties) – Providing satellite-powered internet units to improve communication capabilities during natural disasters and support educational and workforce development programs in rural communities.
- UGA Research Foundation / NextGA (Tift County) – Supporting an agricultural innovation pilot project that pairs students, educators, and farmers to identify on-farm challenges and develop practical solutions through hands-on research and technology.
- Hispanic Alliance GA (Hall County) – Expanding the Farm to Family Food Access Initiative, which provides fresh food, emergency assistance, educational programs, and family support services to underserved households and agricultural workers.
- Boggs Rural Life Center (Burke County) – Constructing a multi-use post-harvest facility that will support organic farming operations while providing hands-on agricultural and construction training opportunities for farmers.
- Tiftarea Academy FFA Chapter (Tift County) – Restoring the school's greenhouse to create expanded experiential learning opportunities in horticulture, plant science, greenhouse management, and sustainable agriculture for students in grades 5-12.
- Treutlen County Schools (Treutlen County) – Upgrading long-standing school garden raised beds, irrigation systems, and soil infrastructure to help students continue growing fresh produce used in school meals and agricultural education programs.
The selected projects represent a wide range of community needs, including agricultural education, beginning and veteran farmer support, food insecurity relief, farm innovation, youth development, rural broadband access, and local food system enhancement. Together, these initiatives will serve farmers, students, families, veterans, and rural residents in communities across Georgia.

Since its inception, the Community Mission Fund has helped expand educational opportunities, strengthen agricultural programs, support community development efforts, and improve access to resources in rural Georgia. The 2026 grant recipients continue that tradition by addressing local needs while creating long-term benefits for the communities they serve.
