AgGeorgia Farm Credit is proud to announce a $5,000 Community Mission Fund grant awarded to the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture in support of its Georgia Ag Experience (GAE) mobile classroom program.
The Georgia Ag Experience is a 36-foot mobile classroom designed to bring hands-on, STEM-based agricultural education directly to students—many of whom have never visited a farm, met a farmer, or explored career opportunities in agriculture. Through this innovative program, the Foundation is helping bridge the gap between rural students and Georgia’s top industry.
Serving 3rd–5th grade students in public and private schools across both urban and rural areas, the Georgia Ag Experience provides an engaging, hands-on learning environment. The program includes a pre-visit lesson and project, followed by an interactive mobile classroom experience that highlights Georgia-grown commodities, modern food systems, and diverse agricultural careers, along with an agriculture career bingo activity. Students also complete a post-visit lesson and project designed to reinforce key concepts and spark continued interest in agriculture and STEM fields.
“This program is exactly the kind of initiative the Community Mission Fund was created to support,” said AgGeorgia Chief Marketing Officer Corey Cottle. “The Georgia Ag Experience is not only educating students, but also inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders by connecting them to opportunities they may have never considered.”
The project is expected to reach up to 20,000 students across Georgia, with a focus on underserved communities that often face barriers to high-quality STEM enrichment and agricultural exposure.
Founded in 2014 by the Georgia Farm Bureau, the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing the next generation of farmers and agricultural leaders. Through programs like the Georgia Ag Experience, the Foundation promotes agricultural literacy, supports workforce development, and strengthens rural communities across the state.
