AgGeorgia Farm Credit is proud to announce Rabbit Valley Farmers Market as a 2025 Farmers Market Grant Program recipient. Five Georgia markets were selected, with each receiving $2,000 to assist with marketing and outreach efforts. Now in its fifth year, the initiative has provided a total of $44,500 in funding to support the growth and sustainability of rural markets and the farmers they serve across the cooperative’s 79-county service area.
Ringgold’s Rabbit Valley Farmers Market serves Catoosa County with a producers-only market from April through September. In addition to providing fresh, local goods, Rabbit Valley leads community-focused initiatives like the Nourish North Georgia food donation program and scholarships for local horticulture students. The market is also launching a new community garden project at Ringgold City Hall to promote education and inclusivity. Grant funds were used to boost marketing efforts through branded materials, digital content, social media advertising, and improved signage to increase engagement and support continued growth.
“Over the next few years, our top priority is to grow while continuing to support local farmers and foster an equitable food system for our community,” said Samantha Leslie, Executive Director and Market Manager. “We are deeply committed to ensuring families have access to fresh, healthy food while making sure our farmers are well-supported. We’re grateful for AgGeorgia’s support—this season has been fantastic, and we’re excited about the incredible projects we have planned for next year.”
AgGeorgia Farm Credit plans to continue the Farmers Market Grant Program in 2026 and encourages all eligible markets, especially those who have applied previously but not yet been selected, to apply during the next cycle.
